The Basket Room

The Basket Room partner with over 3,000 weavers across Kenya, Ghana and East Africa. Basket weaving is part of their culture - a skill passed down through generations. The Basket Room's main goal is to connect these talented weavers with a wider market so that they become less dependent on self-sufficiency farming, which is unreliable during the dry seasons.  Each basket is handmade, unique and shaped by the personality of its creator. At The Basket Room, sustainability is at the core of everything they do, from slow production methods and the materials and dyes used, to their supply chain and logistics.
