Something From The Turnery was founded by Joel Atkins after being gifted the lathe that his Grandfather had taught him on as a child. Relishing the opportunity to continue a wonderful family tradition and hone the craft in his own way, a wood-turning hobby quickly became something more. Joel views his workshop as an escape from the fast-paced everyday, and Something From The Turnery is focused around considered methods of working and sustainable practices. The timbers used are sustainably sourced and reclaimed, and Joel uses natural, low-impact finishes on all his pieces.
